Hello mommies! I knew that there was more to me than being a wife, mom, sister friend, etc. Even before the marriage, the kiddos, college or what have you. I have always known that I was destined to do great things. As a child, I loved baking with my mom and grand mother and quilting and doing crafts! I was that gal that whenever one of my friends, or guy I was dating, had a birthday, I tend to always most definitely baked and decorated them a beautiful cake. Also, while in high school and college, I was paid $25/report or anything to type it up and graph it so that they wouldn’t have to do it. I recall one semester, I made over $200 in cash. You talking about happy; as a college student, having that much money at one time was a God sent.
Even, after having my first child, I was in my last semester of graduate school, I always wanted to make money doing something I love. At that time, I just didn’t know how I would go about doing that. As time went by, I began to take my love for crafts and see how I could make money from home. Well, I want to share with you three things I wish I had known before starting my business:

- Free Stuff won’t take you far: At the beginning, my mindset was why would I pay a coach money when I wasn’t even making money. I would google everything or search youtube to find out everything I wanted to know about business.
- Build relationships first & foremost: I was the selling queen. With my beautiful diaper cakes, I just knew everybody loved my cakes just as much as I did. I thought hey, why do I have to get to know people or them get to know me to buy my cakes. I was more interested in making money.
- Hire a Coach: I also was highly against giving coaches my hard earned money when I was already struggling in my business. I was on a tight budget because we were in a one-income household so money was super tight. My mentality was very poorly; Thank God for change.
