5 Reasons Why You Should Share Your Story

As long as you are living and breathing, there will be trials and obstacles that we have to face. Let’s just be honest, we are not going to walk this earth and have nothing happen to us. God had all kinds of bad things to happen to him, and all he did was love everybody. I’m almost 40 years old and when I tell you I have had my share of hiccups, that would be an understatement. Being a young gal from the deep south, I was raised in a very small town where everybody knows each other and most of us are related. Well, here is the downfall of that, too many people have their opinion of you and what you should be doing and who you should be doing it with. Can you relate?

As a young girl, I struggled with my esteem and self-worth.  I searched for everything and everybody to make me feel worthy of the good in life. I tried to over-compensate for my lack of self-esteem by being an all American cheerleader, captain of the team, honor roll student, church girl, the nice girl always making others feel good about themselves. Well, how many of you know that whatever you don’t deal with will always keep stalking and chasing you?

When life happened to me, it nearly killed me to the point where all I wanted to do was meet my heavenly father. I was in so much pain and experiencing heartache after heartache, that I needed something or someone to numb the pain. It wasn’t until I got sick and tired of myself and got up and did something about it. Back in 2012, I wrote and published my first book and oh boy was I scared out of my mind. I thought people are really going to be talking now. They are going to think I’m a nut basket. Here’s what I learned from writing my very first book:

5 Reasons Why YOu Should Share Your Story

  • You have to totally heal from your pain: A lot of stuff that I shared in my first book, I wouldn’t have been so detailed and graphics. I realized even after I published it, that I still had some hidden pain. Even though I had healed in most of the areas, it was still some things stuck to me like glue.

  • Someone else’s breakthrough is tied to your story: If you keep your testimony to yourself, you are being selfish and keeping that next person from experience peace and joy like you.

If you are ready to share your story with the world and need some clarity, call me today!

  • Your pain is not about you: I learned that it was not about me even though it pained me to death and it hurt like hell. I still had questions for God like why me.

  • You will heal by helping others: God allowed you to live to tell your story of how you overcame your situation. As long as you still have breathed in your lungs, there is always somebody else out there who is or have gone through the same thing you have.

  • Profit from your story: You can tell your story better than anybody. So why not write your book and tell of the goodness of the lord and how he blessed you to overcome. Not everybody lives to tell their story. Don’t die with your story on the inside of you. If you are ready to write your story, click on the image below.

Achieve Your Goals With Motivational Soundtracks

Much like any great movie, music plays a vital role in your pursuit of success. When you set a goal for yourself, music can help you achieve it. Whether you listen while you work out or just work, certain songs can get you pumped up and ready for whatever challenge you may face.

nicki manaj Achiving Your Goals With A Motivational Sound trackOf course, musical tastes vary and your own individual playlist will be different from someone else’s, but there are a few styles of music that are staples in the motivational music scene.

80’s Montage Music: These songs are prime choices when creating a motivational soundtrack. The prime  example of this is the soundtrack to the Rocky series. That main theme has been used in many a montage and it’s still applicable in many real world situations. That’s just the beginning. You also have songs like Europe’s The Final Countdown as well as Joe Esposito’s You’re the Best Around as options. The latter is most famous for its use at the end of The Karate Kid, where it plays while Daniel makes his way to the finals.

When it comes to motivation, few songs are better suited than You’re the Best Around. This song will give you the energy and confidence you need for success. It’s so affirming that a confidence boost comes even as you read the title! Another great one is Roar by Katy Perry and really one of my all time favorites. One that I love to work out to is “I gotta feeling” by Black Eyed Peas and “Annaconda” by Nicki Manaj. Love it love it, love it.

Movie Soundtracks

This overlaps with the aforementioned genre, but there are quite a few movie scores that can have a positive effect on you.

You can’t go wrong with John Williams’ now classic Superman theme. Much like the hero himself, this tune gives you the positive energy you need to focus on your goals. It helps you believe that you’re capable of great things, and that’s the exact sentiment you want to feel in the music for your soundtrack.

Oldies and Classic Rock: Try adding a few tracks from the golden days to your playlist. Whether you’re a Beatles or Elvis fan, oldies have a positive energy to them. You’ll just feel good listening to them! It’s the same with classic rock. After listening to a song like Rush’s The Spirit of Radio, you just may feel better and energized. You can then transfer that positive energy and emotion into whatever your endeavor may be.

Epic Music: These are the type of songs you find in movie trailers. Songs like Nightwish’s Ghost Love Score or E.S. Posthumus’ Pompeii make great background music while also filling you with a sense of excitement and anticipation. Just hearing the song can be an awe-inspiring experience and that’s great when you want to elicit the same reaction from others.

Music is a major part of anyone’s life. It has an impact on us that’s hard to define, but impossible to ignore. While it’s not the only factor in improving your life, whether it’s getting in shape, impressing the boss with hard work, or boosting your own self-confidence, it’s a definite asset to your efforts.Try listening to these songs and others to create a motivational playlist that can spur you on to success!

5 Tips To Get Over Your Past

We all have had our fair share of disappointments and have done things in our past that we would care to forget right? I can tell you a thing or two about learning and move forward from your past.  See, your past is where you learned the valuable lessons and your right now and your future is where you teach what you have learned. The thing that stings the most about your past is, you will have times where family and friends would care to remind you about way back then and I will discuss that a little later. But, for now, let’s focus on getting over your past.

5 Tips To Get Over Your Past

  • Change your perspective on your situation: It took me years to do this one thing because, at one point in my life, I was so hurt and filled with guilt and shame that all I did was worry my pretty little head off. I didn’t want people to know how hurt and broken I was. But just a few short years ago, I got a new perspective on it and it has made all the world of a difference in my life.

  • Ask God What Is It that he wants you to learn: See, instead of asking God why this had to happen to me, change it and see what you are supposed to learn. Because every experience has a lesson hidden inside of it if you are open to it.

  • Realize that there is nothing you can do to change it: We all wish we had a magic wand to wave and make it not happen, but the truth of it, is that you can’t change it. The only thing you can do is to do better the next time something similar occurs.

If you are ready to become a better woman and live the life of your dreams, Click here now!

  • Stop talking about it. Yep, I said it: Sometimes the reason why you can’t get over a thing is that you keep speaking about it, reliving it over and over again in your mind. You have to get to a point in your life that you silence the negative voices in your head.

  • Let it go and accept it for what it is: When you are tired and sick and tired of your own mess, that is when you will decide to take another direction. Sometimes, you like to play the victim and tell everybody about it because you want a pity party.

I hope these few tips help you to realize that at this very moment is all that matters to you and your future looks ten times better than your past.  Please share this with your friends and family if this has been helpful to you.

5 Ways To Show Love To Yourself

We all need to show ourselves some love from time to time to maintain a balance of our mind, body, and soul. Once these connections are understood and nurtured, you’ll find a peaceful mindset.
One thing that’s important to remember first and foremost is that you are a valuable woman. You have to truly believe that you can love yourself and that you deserve to receive love. I always say Loving yourself Is Necessary. Some women will find this to be a difficult hurdle to jump over, but it has to be done in order to make positive steps forward.

5 Ways To Show Love To Yourself

1. Your Mind. In order to show love to yourself you need to master your mind. This can prove to be one of the most difficult tasks. Negative thinking tends to creep up in some fashion everyday and it’s your job to combat this thinking pattern.

*Addictions. These can range from seemingly harmless problems, to severe life disruptions. To start treating yourself right, you need to master your addictions. This might mean controlling what goes into your body or guarding your time spent on television, shopping, or the computer.

* Personal Development. You’ll want to discover the power of positive thinking. There are many books and resources that can help you discover the “glass half full” mentality.

* Relationships. Your relationships play a large role in how you judge your self-worth. You need to surround yourself with positive people and make the best of all situations.

2. Your Body. Maintaining a healthy body is just as important as maintaining a healthy mind. When you concentrate on your health, you gain energy, focus, and happiness.

* Exercise. If you make a moderate exercise routine a part of your day, it could be enough to maintain a great body image. If you have weight to lose, you may wish to go through a more rigorous routine after talking with a healthcare professional.

* Nutrition. Eating a healthy diet will energize you and make you feel great throughout the day. Strive to eat a balanced diet, but don’t feel bad if you slip up every once in awhile. Nobody is perfect!

3. Your Soul. Your soul or spirit is your life force. Your soul is where you find your peace and deeper purpose.

* Religion. Chances are your personal religion will address the questions and answers when it comes your soul. Practicing your religion will help strengthen your soul. If you don’t have a religion you can still engage in activities that you find peaceful and meaningful.

* Enlightenment. This is often described as a moment of revelation where you discover something about your inner self or about the world and how it works. You could read and write about it endlessly, but you can only continue living your life in order to experience it.

Yoga..One activity to consider trying is yoga. It is an ancient practice that connects the mind, body, and spirit. During a yoga session you’ll go through different postures and meditation exercises. During this connection of the mind and body, you just might experience an inner calm, too. When you nurture your mind, body, and soul, you’re showing yourself the deepest, most fulfilling kind of love. So take some time to love yourself!

Loving Yourself Is Necessary

I see so many women settling and walking around with low self esteem and guess what, it hurts me to my core. I don’t like to see women staying in relationships that are toxic and not good for them. When I see a woman walking with her head held down, all I want to do is run and go hug her. I’ve learned a thing or two since my teenage years or even my early adulthood. Loving yourself can be hard at times for women, moms because a lot of demands are placed on us at early ages. We are taught to give give and give and think of others before we think of ourselves. We saw our mothers take care of five or more children, all while having a 9-5 job and taking care and supporting their husbands.  But the truth of the matter is, sometimes, our upbringing can hinder us from really seeing things for who and what it is. Taking care of you is a must and i’m going to show you with 3 simple tips.

3 Tips To Loving Yourself & Why It’s Necessary

  • You can’t give what you don’t have. If you are constantly giving and giving and giving. Pretty soon, your cup is going to be empty. You will become depleted and start to feel resentment towards those you love. You must spend as much time needed in order to rejuvenate your well being.

  • Choose you first. Start today saying YES to yourself and incorporate things that you love to do on a daily basis. It is very crucial for you to set this example for your daughters because trust me they are learning and watching everything that we do. You are teaching her by what you put up with and what you allow.

  • Believe that you deserve better.  Nothing will change until you start to say and believe that you can and will have better. Start making better and wiser choices now. The past is over and the only thing you have left are those life lessons that you learned from the mistakes that happened earlier on.

If you are struggling with learning how to love yourself, call me today asap! I don’t want you going another day without gaining some clarity about moving forward with your life! If this post has blessed you in any way, please share this with your friends and family.

What to do When Life Happens

I can’t begin to tell you how I feel right now; All I can say is God is up to something really huge. I want to encourage those of you who are currently going through something or just walking out of something to keep pushing and know that God has your back. Over these last few years, my life has be turned upside down and I couldn’t run from it or ask God to remove it from my life.  I had to put my big girl panties on and follow course with what God was leading me to do.

3 tips that you can do to remain calm when life happens:

  1. Go through it. Yes, I know it’s easier said then done; but if you don’t allow yourself time needed to go through your situation; You might just find yourself repeating those same things in your life again.
  1. Increase your prayer life. I always say stay prayed up so when life happens it won’t catch you off guard.  I find myself praying all in my car up and down the highways and in the tub.  I want to encourage you to talk to God on a daily and regular basis.
  1. Eliminate all distractions. Yes, turn off the notifications on your phone, get off social media and let go of people and things that are no longer serving you purpose. I took a year long break from everything last year while life was happening to me. I needed my mind to be clear and free from the opinions of others.

Now, I’m not saying that it will be a walk in the park, but what I am saying is that if you hold tightly to God’s hand, your journey won’t be as hard.  He will guide you through your transitions of life.  If you know someone who could use some encouragement, please share this with your friends and family!
