Who Is LaTersa Blakely

In the world of social media and the internet, there can be all kinds of things said about you. But, we want to let the world know who LaTersa Blakely is. LaTersa Blakely has been a social media influencer for the past ten years or so. Her first encounter with the online world started when she was in her early twenties. Though her journey has been one that has had its ups and downs, overall, she has enjoyed spreading her love for business and the empowerment of women. Today, we will give you an inside look into the heart of who this amazing woman is.

Who Is LaTersa Blakely at her core?

I am a woman who loves God and enjoys being his favorite girl. I love being a BIG kid at heart and you can thank my children for that. They keep me young and active!

I’m caring and I love helping others. When I’m not working, I enjoy eating a Mr. Goodbar and watching comedy.

I really enjoy watching the woman that I’m becoming because there was a time when I didn’t like the woman I viewed in the mirror. I have to say my faith is what has kept me moving forward all these years.

I adore me for the strength and tenacity that I have and just being an overall great woman.

How Do You Handle Negative Talk About You?

I don’t address it. I know that’s probably not what you want to hear, but I’ve learned over the years to not bother myself with other people’s opinions of me.

I have no control over what other people do or think. The only control that I have is how I respond to it. Being that I’m in the public’s eye, there will always be someone talking and making assumptions about my life and how they feel it should be.

I can only live for me and enjoy my time on this earth. Staying focused on what matters most to me is more important than worrying about gossip about me.

They talked about Jesus and he didn’t do anything to anyone. So, as my dad has told me all my life, to get some tough skin.

When Did You Start Empowering women with your I Am Enough Movement?

I started the I Am Enough Movement in 2014.  This was a time where it seemed like my life was falling apart. I was very depressed and felt like my world as I knew it was crumbling down.

My marriage was falling apart and I didn’t know how to handle it. So, I started giving other women what I needed and that was self-validation.  I began pouring myself into helping other women believe that they are enough and they deserve everything good in this world.

Behind closed doors, I felt like a hypocrite.  I was telling other women to stand up for themselves. But, I wasn’t taking my own advice. I felt helpless. I so desperately needed to believe in myself and that I deserved better than what I was experiencing.

In 2016, I became a single mom and had to really find myself again. I had to figure out how to navigate in this world with two small children without my ex-husband.

It has been a journey of rediscovering myself and giving myself permission to forgive and be free from my past.

What Is Your Occupation?

I work from home as a chat agent with a reputable company. I also have my own business where I help moms work from home and create harmony within their homes. Outside of this, I’m a YouTuber where I empower women to believe they are enough.

I enjoy waking up every morning knowing that I’m doing something to make a difference in this world. I sometimes have to tell myself to stop working so much. I get in my zone and I block everything else out, except my children.

They have even gone so far as to hide my laptop because they say I work too much. LOL

How Do You Help Moms Work From Home?

I send out weekly remote jobs that are hiring to moms and I offer ways to make money from home through various side- hustle ideas, business startup, and coaching. I love sharing my knowledge through ebooks and online courses.

My goal is to show moms that they too can have success both at home and at work. Everything is possible when you believe. If you are ready to start your work at home career, here are 8 FREE Online courses to get you started.

What Have You Overcome In Your Life Thus Far?

Wow, when I think back over my life, it brings me to tears! I have overcome so many things in my life but I will share a couple with you. At a young age, I had the addiction of being a people pleaser and wanting everyone to like me. I hated for anyone to be mad at me.

I was looked at as the strong one in my family, so when I became depressed, no one took me seriously. Check on your strong friends.

I learned very early on how to maneuver through this world being nice to people and making them laugh. As years went by and I became an adult, I suffered from depression which led to becoming suicidal.

I would go on to spend several years in and out of the psych ward because I had this little notion that this world would be a better place without me. Well, let’s just say, God wasn’t ready for him and me to encounter each other.

How Did You Get Over Being Suicidal?

It took a lot of prayer and counseling. I had to make a decision to live. It took me years to let go of all the hurt from my past. It was deep issues from my childhood that I had to deal with and work through.

I vowed that no matter how hard it got, that I would fight and I’ve been fighting ever since. My therapist introduced me to journaling. It helped me to channel my thoughts and to see them for what they were.

I’ve been journaling ever since and I recommend it to my clients as well.

What Would You Say To Other Women Who Might Be Dealing With Similar Issues?

I would say seek out some help. Whether it be from your pastor, best friend, or a complete stranger, you will need some outside help. You can’t handle it alone.

Sometimes, it’s better to talk with a complete stranger because they don’t know you or have any ties to your past. When people know you, they can be biased.

Also, don’t feel like you’re so strong that you cheat yourself out of true healing.

What Has Been Your Greatest Accomplishment In Life?

There are so many, but hands down are giving birth to my children. I sometimes snare at them for hours because I can’t believe that I birth such amazing children. To watch them grow and teach them valuable lessons gives me so much joy!

I am somebody’s mom and thinking back to my childhood, I always wanted to have children and have a family. I use to play with my dolls and stuffed animals and make-believe that they were my family.

My deepest desire for me is to continue to plant the word of God within them so they can have something to fall back on when they are adults.

Do You Think You’ll Get Married Again?

Absolutely! I will NEVER give up on Love. Just because my first marriage didn’t last, it’s not the end of the world. I’ve had plenty of time to heal and do some self-reflection on myself.

I learned so much from that marriage and I’m confident that the man God is preparing me for, will be just what I need. I look forward to growing old with him and seeing how God will birth a greater purpose for our union.

I’m a real softy for love. Love is so beautiful and special. I wish love for everybody no matter how many times you’ve been married.

What Is One Final Thing You Want The World To Know About You?

I would just like the world to know that I’m loving and caring. I wish for every person that I encounter to feel the essence of God through me.

I want the world to know that behind every smile that they see whether it be in person or online, know that I had to work hard to experience it.

I love you all and want nothing but the best for each and every person that reads this.
