I have been a work from home mama since 2009 and I have learned a few things along my journey. The thing I want you to really understand about working at home is you have to do what works best for your household and not worry about what anyone else has to say. When I first started my journey to being a stay at home mom, I was a freshly new wife and mom and boy let me tell you, I wasn’t ready as I thought I would be with two toddlers on my hip and a very outgoing hubby. I had watched my mom growing up as a kid, handle motherhood and marriage like a pro, so in my mind, I said I got this. No one told my little brain that it would be a ton and ton of work. FYI, anything worth having, you have to fight and do the work. At the time, I was working as an Administrative Assistant at a local hospital barely making ends meet, and to think of it, I think I was just making minimum wage. Now, don’t get me wrong, I was grateful because I was able to contribute to our monthly household bills. Continue reading “5 Benefits Of Working From Home-Work From Home”

5 Ways To Avoid WAHJob Scams
- Asking for your personal information: If any company is asking you for money and your personal banking information. That right there is a red flag. I can’t tell you how many times I fell for this one trick. Some of these people can sound so convincing.
- Verify the company. One great place I always check is the Better Business Bureau (BBB+). Google them to find out about previous customers and their experiences.
- Sending you interview via chats: I mean that one right there, really. You can’t schedule a phone interview? Please be aware of this
- Check their website: If there is no obvious sign of any kind of website or social media profile, I wouldn’t even bother.
- No contact information: You can’t find a phone number or email (legitimate), there there is another red flag.
I hope this post blesses you in some way! If you know of family and friends who might need this, would you please share this? Have an amazing day and leave me a comment below.
QUESTION: Have you encountered any scams and how did you recover?
Love & Prosperity,
Have you ever thought about quitting your regular job and starting working from home instead? You’re not alone! Countless people make the switch every year, and it doesn’t look like this trend is stopping anytime soon. As technology gets better, more and more jobs can be done just as well without leaving the house. It’s no wonder most people are interested in it either, as there are many advantages to working from home:
5 Advantages Of Working From Home
1. You set your own hours
You’ll no longer be limited to working when someone else tells you to. Nothing is stopping you from pulling a 16-hour day on Monday and taking Tuesday off, or taking a few hours off in the middle of the day to go grocery shopping. If you’re the type of person who works best in the evening/night, you’ll no longer have to drag yourself up at 7 AM just because someone else tells you to.
2. You can work from anywhere
It’s usually referred to as “working from home”, but a better term might actually be “working from anywhere”. You can work just as well in a hotel room in Thailand, or from your favorite café, there’s no need to limit yourself to your home office.
3. You’ll save time and money
Working from home completely does away with the daily commute, meaning you’ll save both time and gas money. For some people who are used to commuting for 2-3 hours per day, this is huge. Use the money you save to improve your home office instead, or take an extra vacation every year!
4. You’ll be able to work un-interrupted
When you work in a regular office you’ll often have people interrupting you as soon as you get into “the zone”. It can be very frustrating, especially if you’re in a rush to complete an assignment. This is another huge advantage of working from home; unless you have household members who like to bother you (tell them not to!), you’ll be able to enjoy completely focused work with no interruptions.
5. You can invest in your health
Working in an office it may be difficult to find the time to eat healthy and visit the gym. When you’re working from home it’s generally easier, as you’re free to cook whatever you want for lunch/dinner. You can also take a couple of hours off in the afternoon a couple of days per week to hit the gym outside peak hours, avoiding the crowds of office workers who come in after work.
